Welcoming... Ziva

On a dark, cold, and snowy December day in Southwest Michigan.

Well... snowy, yes, cold, yes, but dark NO. It just sounded like a novel way to start the announcement of the arrival of a new member to our household.

Ziva has been added to the kitty kingdom - only Ziva is not a kitty.

Ziva is an Australian Blue Heeler puppy. Blue Heelers are considered very smart dogs. Full of energy and very protective of their family. Ziva's family is very large - with the inside and outside kitties, the marsh and gardens to play in, and the family at the nursery across the street.

She is doing well already, with her first walk on a leash - her first investigations around the house, and first tromp, through the snow, around the gardens.

Ziva was born October 27th to mom Bella and dad Bosco. A total of 7 puppies (all were claimed in less than 10 days).

Bella lives just 10 miles away, so she will visit. p.s. the kitty? That's Batman, a former outside kitty here. Our friend Maggie (Joey's mom) welcomed Batman into her household 6+ years ago.

Ziva's probable 2nd home. Cindy & Charlie are the former caretakers of Duchess - "our part-time" lab mix who passed on, 3 years ago

Ziva will be traveling with us during our Christmas visits.
See you then.
